about
The first single to be released by the band.
Stand Up echoes the days when Läbi Linna first began writing together. As four Englishmen living in Tartu, Estonia, at the time armed with only acoustic guitars and a home made cajón drum; frontman Matthew Jordan took this original song of his and brought it to the guys to be transformed into this full band, acoustic-pop rendition!
lyrics
I can't be the one to eliminate your problems,
everybody's changing, stand up for yourself.
It's like a broken record, the same old shit is happening,
he's walking towards the door again, hates being ignored.
No one can believe it, and I won't be the one to,
sit you down and tell you what you're supposed to do.
I can't be the one to eliminate your problems,
everybody's changing, stand up for yourself.
Stand up for yourself my friend,
'cause you know no one else will.
Let's take it to the girl this time, kicks, shoves, changes her mind.
No one really knows why, oh they just agree.
The man that we met before, probably only twenty-four,
keeps on getting played oh, loses his money.
Turns out that she's not alright, still everybody treats her right.
So much for the man standing up for himself.
I can't be the one to eliminate your problems,
everybody's changing, stand up for yourself.
Stand up for yourself my friend,
'cause you know no one else will.
Stand up for what you believe, and need yeah.
I am not the one to blame for this sad game.
The clock is ticking over.
Stop... and turn it around.
I can't deal with all the shame.
It's time for a change.
It's time for a change.
It's time for a change.
And I can't be the one to,
(I can't be the one to)
eliminate your problems.
Nobody's changing so stand up for yourself.
It's like a broken record.
(It's like a broken record)
The same old shit is happening.
He's walking towards the door again, he hates being ignored
And I can't be the one to,
(I can't be the one to)
eliminate your problems.
Nobody's changing so stand up for... yourself.
